I just learned that Sessue Hayakawa was a bigger movie idol than Valentino and he had his own production company, producing 38 films. Talkies killed his career because of his heavy accent.

Sat, June 7, 2008 - 2:12 PMI've been watching this series too. Had no idea that the first feature-length Technicolor film was made in 1922, and starred Anna Mae Wong! The two-color (red & green) process results in a picture with very few blues and yellows, but it's still amazing for its time.
